Schietsdrift School ‘Education is Key’

Morbi nisl

If you would like to find out more about how you can get involved in spending time at our school, please contact Lynette Heron.

Visitors from the United Kingdom may be able to access funding from organisations such as the British Council to assist with costs for teachers.

We have a long history of welcoming volunteer visitors, especially from the United Kingdom, to work in our school. These visits have helped us to develop our resources and our teaching as well as allow our students to develop friendships. Our visitors teach lessons, play with the students and provide help to develop our school building and facilities. We believe these visits have a two-way benefit and help the personal development of all involved.

Not only do visitors come to us but we have been able to benefit from visits to the United Kingdom to find out about education there and bring ideas back to Schietsdrift.  Staff from our host school, Wellfield in County Dutham, welcome us into their school to spend time in classrooms, take us to visit their local partner schools and introduce us to some of the North East’s tourist attractions.
